We are currently in rehearsals for It’s A Wonderful Life: A Radio Play. It is a rather ingenious retelling of the story as a 90-minute radio play complete with on-stage sound effects. Should be a unique experience for audiences.
Because of the heavy show schedule, the show is completely double-cast. I am sharing the role of George Bailey with Vaughn Irving, a terrific young actor who has done quite a few shows here at Wayside. Considering how the story covers so many years of George’s life, it seems to me that our age difference brings out different levels of his character. It’s interesting to watch.
Rehearsals have been going quite well. We’ve been laughing a lot and still getting our work done. Great combination.
