I voted this morning. I understand a few million other people did the very same thing.
A crisp autumn morning and an actual feeling of excitement. Partially because it means an end to the Bush years and partially to finally have this horserace over.
And partially because I voted for Obama, a candidate whose intelligence, pragmatism and moral code actually moves me to tears on occasion.
It is sad to me that McCain campaigned so terribly. He is a man that I have respected in the past for going across party lines to get things done. This campaign showed him to be a terrible manager of people and resources, as well as a disrespectful human being. There is so much more to McCain than that, but in this particular job interview he didn’t sell himself.
Today, my vote was cast within minutes – no lines out here in the boonies. And I was voter #111.
